I’m always on the hunt for the best products to use in my house. Your skin is like a sponge and has the ability to absorb many of the things you put on it. This includes soap, laundry detergent, cleaning products, and even beauty products.

What’s the easiest way to find out how safe your soap is?

Download the Environmental Working Group (EWG) app and scan your product in.
The second option is to do a quick Google search. Type in the name of product, followed by EWG. Find your link and click on it. EWG has most of the well-known products rated, but may not have some of your smaller ones listed yet.
My goal is to find products that are rated a 3 or less. The lower the score, the safer the product.
Still read the ingredients. Even well rated products on EWG may still contain chemicals.

Autoimmune disorders
Cancer
Endocrine disorders
Skin irritation
Respiratory problems
Vertigo (dizziness)
